Chapter 24: [Tag Team Battle]

[Underground Head-Quarters, England, London]

When Joana challenged Kanzaki, the person in question suddenly went shocked as he process on how the situation become to be

"Wait! Your challenging me?" Asks Kanzaki seemingly confused

When Joana heard this she smiled at him and replied

"Of course! I want for us to have a match"

After saying that not only Kanzaki but also everyone including Joana's group become shocked

"Oi! Joana! I was suppose to be the one to fight him! We're both swordsman can't you see?" Complained Arthur

"Well nobody said that a shield bearer can't fight a swordman! Right?" Retorted Joana

"But still for you to steal my prey!" Insist Arthur

"Prey?" Exclaimed Kanzaki as he heard Arthur's impression on him

As the commotion continues a person suddenly laughs out of nowhere

"Hahahaha! This is great! I also want to test my strength against you guys!"

As all the people in the vicinity looked for the source of the voice they found out that it was Ryuuji who said his mind out loud

"Ryuuji! What are you...?" Stuttered Kanzaki

As Ryuuji stepped closer he boldly declared

"If you won't fight them then I will after all I want to know if my training has paid off"

As he said this both Arthur and Joana looked at each other and simultaneously nodded at the same time as they reached a conclusion

"Alright! Since you also want to fight how about we do it as a tag team battle" suggested Joana

"With that we can satisfy our need to have a match against each other" added Arthur

As both Kanzaki and Ryuuji heard this they both looked at each other before giving a sigh

"Fine! Let's do this" said Kanzaki dejectedly

[Training Ground]

Once they arrived at the training ground the group was met by different users that are training inside the area

As they approached one platform that is unoccupied by other users they decided to settle there

"Alright this platform is where we will fight, the pod over there will transform your body to data and will be transported inside the training space so that you can kill each other without any restraints cause no one will actually die!" Said Joana

"When you die on the platform you will be sent back inside the pod and be ejected" added Arthur

"The platform can change its scenery so that a fighter could somehow adapt to real world environment! It's more like for future preparations also do you guys to be able to witness the fight the movements inside will be viewed in this monitor" finished Roland

As they finished their introduction the group was astonished to know the more advance technological output of England in their training platform than Grandora city

"Wicked!" Exclaimed Ai

"Whoa!" Reacted Isabelle

"Well didn't expect that kind of intro" side commented Jessica

As they said that Joana's group just gave off a wry smile

The moment both Ryuuji and Kanzaki body got injected inside the platform they felt as if their body didn't get turned to data

"Don't worry about the others! this thing have a barrier around it so go all out" assured Roland

As both sides were in their position Roland started the platform system and immediately the platform transformed to a city like dimensional arena

When both Ryuuji and Kanzaki saw that they were in the middle of the city both of them were flabbergasted

"Hey this dimension is infinite so don't worry about hitting a non-existent walk" said Joana

When Kanzaki and Ryuuji saw Joana and Arthur changed to their uniform both of them changed their outfit to

As the signal was given Arthur immediately appeared infront of them and brandished his sword Excalibur

Boom!.....

From the smoke both Ryuuji and Kanzaki emerge unscathed, luckily Ryuuji himself reacted in time and pushes Kanzaki out of the swords attack range

Immediately Ryuuji summoned his big sword Ifrit and charged at Arthur

As Ryuuji swung down Ifrit down against Arthur, the person in question. Immediately parried it's attack by sliding Excalibur through Ifrit

As it got parried Ryuuji turned around to retaliate but the moment it did Arthur's Excalibur shot out a light beam sending Ryuuji crashing to one of the buildings

Zoom!..... Crash!.....crumble!...

Meanwhile Kanzaki pulled his sword Fafnir out and attacks Arthur's blind spot, but before he landed the strike a barrier formed between his blade and Arthur's blind spot

Peng!.....

When it got deflected Kanzaki looked at Joana and saw her charging at him

"Shield strike" shouted Joana as it tackled Kanzaki

Crash!....

As Joana arrived Kanzaki held up his arm to defend

"Grrr!" Growled Kanzaki

As kanzaki held his ground Arthur sliced sideways aiming for kanzaki's head

But before the sword could make contact with kanzaki, a big swords was thrown between them blocking Arthur's attack

When the attack got blocked both Joana and Arthur noticed that Ryuuji has thrown his sword at Kanzaki

As Ryuuji glared at them he shouted

"Destroy!"

Immediately the space in where the three of them was located has been completely destroyed

Boom!....

When Ryuuji held his hand, his sword returned to his hand as if it was magnetised, after that he charged at Arthur

As he arrived in front of Arthur he immediately slashed down while Arthur dodged it by back jumping from his location

When Arthur thought he dodged Ryuuji's attack, the person in question quickly grabbed his foot and thrown him into the building

"Wha...?" Exclaimed Arthur before he crashed inside the building

Holding Ifrit sideways he swung Ifrit so hard while activating his eyes ability

"Destruction!"

As he muttered this the whole sector infront of Ryuuji got destroyed as if a calamity has befallen the city

Buildings falling, streets shattering, establishment crumbling, this scene can already be named an end of the world scene, of course this event got everyone's inside the training rooms attention as they watched the devastated city

"What the heck just happened?"

"Who's that guy?"

"Holy crap! That guy I fighting Arthur!"

"He attacked Arthur with that devastating attack?"

As the other trainees begun to gossip about the fight Roland and the gang commented on the fight

"Incredible!" Exclaimed Roland

"If you guys have so much power then why didn't you use it to fight the chimera that gave you a hard time?" Added Roland

When the group heard this they begun to wonder that the news about the chimera even reached this far end of the earth

"How did you?" Muttered Jinwoo

"Oh! That easy! After the incident we were told about the situation in order for us to prepare for any of kind of sudden threat" replied Roland

"Is that so..." Murmured Jinwoo

After few seconds Jinwoo explained to him why they didn't use this kind of attack pattern back then

"Actually this kind of attack can't really be used if there are other ordinary people nearby.... As you've seen the destruction it costed you should know the reason why we didn't use it! It's just to risky!" Explained Jinwoo

When Roland heard this he begun to nod as he understands the reasoning

Meanwhile inside the platform the rubbles suddenly blasted out and Arthur emerged from the rubbles injured and bleeding

"That.... That was close!" He muttered

Immediately he pulled up his sword Excalibur and the Mana from his sword begun to accumulate rapidly as if to suck in all of the wind from around it

At the same time Ryuuji stances himself and gathers his own energy to his sword

Later on Ryuuji's Ifrit Mana turned to flame engulfing his sword with wild fire that can decimate it's surroundings while Arthur's Excalibur's Mana turned to a light pillar towering to the sky and as bright as a huge flashlight directed upon you

As the two wild energy stands off each other suddenly both Arthur and Ryuuji simultaneously slashed their sword as hard as they can

HELL FIRE SLASH!!!!

EXCALIBUR!!!

As they said this two huge energy waves collides against each other

Kaboom!!!!.....

As the two energy collides both waves contends with each other trying to engulf the other energy or destroy it

At this time Arthur gave its own Mana to his Excalibur to further enhanced the beam and then finally he broke through the hell flame slash and the beam went straight until it hits it's target and exploding in a huge way

As the explosion occured the ground shook beneath their feet and that includes the base also shaking

"What the heck! The force was so strong that it shook the ground"

"I knew it arthur is still the strongest!"

"I feel sorry for the other guy now!"

As the spectating trainees said this they can't help but pity Ryuuji's situation

"Looks like the fight won with the power of Excalibur overpowering Ifrit!" Commented Roland

But as he said this Jessica smirked

"Do you really think that Ryuuji would get done in by that?" She asked

Hearing this Roland became surprised by Jessica's remark

"Didn't you see what happened?" He pointed out

"I know he survived! It's not over yet! Actually it's just getting started" said Jessica proudly

"How can you be so sure?" Asks Roland

"That's because I know Ryuuji better than anyone!" Replied Jessica

As they conversed Arthur's expression turned to shock as he noticed Ryuuji appearing right beside him as he let go of his guard

"Wha?..."

Before he could even say anything Ryuuji slammed Arthur sideways sending him crashing through multiple rocks

Immediately after Ryuuji appeared above Arthur slashing down his sword as fast as he can but before his sword Ifrit could make contact with Arthur a barrier intersected between them stopping his attack

Boom!!!....

A huge explosion occured as the barrier and sword collides

When Ryuuji turned around to look at Joana, the person in question activated her eyes and green ambient Mana gather around her

"HEAL!!!"

With her shout she concentrated her Mana to heal Arthur's injury and at the same time she used her aegis skills shield bash to slam to Ryuuji

As Ryuuji got blown away he noticed Kanzaki about to side slash Joana

As Kanzaki's sword moved Arthur bursted out from his original position appearing beside Joana and immediately slashed his sword Excalibur against Fafnir

As the two swords collides Kanzaki got blown away and stumbles on the ground, when he looked up he saw Arthur about to descend above him

Using foresight he immediately predicted his landing spot and dodged it, after that he ran straight to Arthur as he gave him a series of slashes

Slash!... Slash!... Slash!.... Slash!... Spinning slash!.... Uppercut slash!.... Downward slash!....

In return Arthur retaliated with his own series of attacks

Block!... Block!.... spin slash!... Rapid slash!!!....

As this happened series of metal clanking each other rung out

Clang!... Clang!... Cling!..... Clang!... Cling!.... Clang!..... Clang!.....

As the sword fight goes on Ryuuji got up from his position and charged ahead and at the same time Joana thrown her shield straight to Ryuuji

At that moment Ryuuji blocked it but the moment when he put down his sword and uppercut was met sticking his chin

"Guh!" Reacted Ryuuji

After that Joana kicked Ryuuji in his stomach him to his knees

As Joana about to give Ryuuji a sucker punch Ryuuji immediately grabbed her wrist and thrown her at the side

"Kya!" Reacted Joana

As Ryuuji stood up he begun his pace again but contrary to his expectation Joana trapped him inside a barrier and at that time Joana inserted a Klien grenade inside the barrier exploding it's super dangerous chemical and elements inside that could even destroy a hard steel

Boom!...

At the same time Kanzaki tried to land at least one hit against Arthur

As he keeps slashing Kanzaki maneuvered his movements to keep increasing his speed and power using the rubbles scattered everywhere in the platform he slash and dash at the same time making Arthur being showered by pressure from unable to retaliate and have to react fast enough to either block or dodge or else he would be done for

Cling!... Cling!... Cling!.... Cling!.... Cling!... Cling!... Cling!.... Cling!....

Cling!... Cling!... Cling!.... Cling!.... Cling!... Cling!... Cling!.... Cling!....

As kanzaki's attacks grows more ferocious every second Arthur's became more and more showered in pressure making him unable to catch his breath and footing but at that time a barrier enclosed Arthur protecting him from kanzaki's attack

"Joana!" He exclaimed

"Don't underestimate them Arthur" warned Joana as she herself catches her breath

But at that moment a huge explosion occured at the other barrier where Ryuuji was trapped
