Chapter 34: [Reinforcements Arrival]

[Inside The City]

As fierce battle happening outside another fierce battle was also happening inside the city and what's more this is further worsened by the appearance of chaos beast wyverns

As the battle goes on more and more casualties are happening around, in this time the whole city is in total chaos and it's defenders the chaos breakers are having a hard time just by defending it

Because of this situation Oliver also couldn't comprehend just how did the enemy garner such forces

As a group of people are running down the empty street followed by multiple chaos beings, they countered by firing back while some volunteered themselves to hold them back but in the end they were killed

In the group there is a woman and a girl child also Alice, six users, five soldiers.... This is what's left of the past group after fighting for a certain period of time

All of the fighters are quite fatigue from the non-stop fighting

When some chaos beast ran up to them a wyvern suddenly dived below to catch the group of fleeing people

"Incoming!!!!" Shouted one of the user

"Cover fire!!" Yelled the soldiers

Immediately the five soldiers released their bullets and fired at the wyvern that were clearly in for the kill

"AHHHHHHH!!!!" Screamed one of the soldiers as it's emptied out his bullets

Swiftly the wyvern plunged down at the soldier and pierced his stomach with it's claws

"No!" Reacted one of the soldiers

"Flash bang! cover your eyes!" Someone yelled

Immediately everyone covered their eyes as bright light blinds the surroundings

When the light fades they started to escape by running away but they suddenly heard a cry as if dying

"Guhah!"

When they turned around they saw a user was killed by the claws of the wyvern

"Impossible! It didn't affect him?"

"For this mean it also covered his eyes?"

"No way at these creatures intelligent?"

As questions popped up in their heads everyone felt a looming danger inside of them

One particular was also Alice, she's completely defenseless now as her pistol already ran out of bullets to spare a long time ago

As they thought of this a shadow of a person suddenly shot down from the sky but before it shot down it slashed it's thickly Mana engulfed sword at the wyvern causing  an explosion to occur

The wyvern screamed in pain but the it's voice suddenly disappeared as the person stabs it's sword in it's head shutting the wyvern up

As the smoke rises Alice immediately recognized this person whom she haven't seen for a couple of days now

"Kanzaki?!" She muttered

"Hey Alice! Long time no see! How long has it been?" Replied Kanzaki

"Idiot it's been more than a week" sup Alice as she lighten up

"Is that so? Well I'm sorry!" Apologized Kanzaki

When Alice saw kanzaki's state she knew that Kanzaki has gone through a lot in just few days, now he look more composed and mature compared to his old self when he was still just your everyday student... It really felt like he's status is way above her with all this get up and things

Seeing the surroundings Kanzaki called out to his comms to communicate with the others that were left in the plane

[Plane, Above Grandora City]

As two people looks down both Arthur and Joana whistled at the sudden Daredevil act of Kanzaki by jumping off the plane without a shoot

"He really jumped!" Murmured Joana

"If he were a bit slower in that reaction time... He would have died" commented Arthur

"That gave me a heart attack!" Reacted Isabelle

By this time Isabelle received a transmission from Kanzaki

(Alright guys I have something for you guys to do!) Said Kanzaki

"What is it? We're listening" said Roland

(Joana I want you to cast a huge barrier enshrouding the city! Arthur I want you to head straight to the wall and lessen the burden of the units! Roland you help the Marines to fight off while Isabelle will take over Roland's position as pilot when he descended to help and the triplets continue to support your respective users) ordered kanzaki

"Umu!" Replied the triplets

"I wide scale of defend and heal? I can do that but thats the only thing I can do after all when that is over my Mana will be depleted" said Joana

"Don't worry I'll make sure to get rid of the small fries among the big fishes" said Arthur

"Leave the Marines to me!" Agreed Roland

"That good and all but what are you gonna do?" Asks Isabelle

(What I'm gonna do? Simple... I'll exterminate the chaos beings that got slipped through) said Kanzaki confidently

After awhile they begun their operations

[Inside Grandora City]

As he Joana landed on top of the roof of the tallest building in Grandora City she started accumulating her vast amount of Mana and like a bomb she bursted her Mana to spread wide and this is enhance more by her ability which I quite overpowered by its high stats of defense

As this happened Kanzaki urged Alice and the group behind her to get inside a small store up front

"Get in there now!" Ordered kanzaki

Of course before this they all heard that Kanzaki will be fighting a huge horde of chaos being all by himself so they were perplexed and insisted to fight beside him after all they can't let a younger user not to mention a new user like Kanzaki to be the bait needlessly, he has a bright future ahead so they don't want to let Kanzaki sacrifice himself

"No we're escaping together! I won't let you be the bait anymore! You've already done so much just to be stronger and now look at you! Your completely changed I can't even recognize you anymore! It feels like it's been years since I've seen you instead of just days!" Insisted Alice

"Young man! Your still young! You can't sacrifice yourself just like that you know! That role is a job of a responsible adult!" Said the other user

"Kid! We can't leave you here to fend them off alone!" Said the soldier

Even though Kanzaki was grateful for their concern he can't waste any more time cause by the minute there might be someone dying out there

"No! You need to get inside can if you don't I have no choice but to put you guys to sleep to get you inside!" Threatened Kanzaki

Seeing his serious expression and witnessing his strength they gripped their fist and followed his order unwillingly but Alice still hesitated a bit, the Kanzaki that she knew who is easy going and carefree seems to be vanishing from her memory as she look at how the current Kanzaki ordered people around

But with a few seconds she followed him anyway even if she is still confused

When everyone was inside and the doors were locked Kanzaki walked in the middle of the street and released a huge amount of energy attracting all chaos beast inside the city and eventually swarming him

"I'm a threat to you right? The come and get me!" He muttered

As the swarm ran up to Kanzaki the group saw all this in the transparent mirror and saw a scene in which could kill them if they were outside

[Grandora's Walls]

When Kanzaki released his aura some chaos beast outside gone crazy as they sensed it some they immediately ran up to the wall ignoring the defending unit

But before they could do anything a barrier was erected covering the city and blocking the swarm

The remaining forces were flustered by this sudden event and in the next moment a figure jumped down the wall and landed with the sword Excalibur

"Who are you?" Asked Richard

"Me? I'm an acquaintance of Kanzaki and he sent me to lessen this guy's number" said Arthur

Hearing a familiar name Richard finally eased up his burden

"I see it seems like Kanzaki brought some amazing people with him overseas" said Richard

"Hoh! How do you know that I was overseas?" Asked Arthur

"Everyone knows that the group where Kanzaki is got depatched to London and since I haven't seen you here before means your overseas" explained Richard

"Amazing!" Exclaimed Arthur

"And let me guess the one who erected this barrier is one of the overseas user too" smirked Richard

"Your quite good" praised Arthur

As they talked leisurely the atmosphere eased the tension of the defending force

"Alright let's clean up here"

When Arthur said that he charged straight to the swarm

[Grandora's Fleet]

As multiple ships sank the situation at sea was much worse than I the land after all this hear is not a battle but a massacre as the opponent attacks under the ships and destroying them down under

Well some submarine is still fighting but only few remains to be fighting while others already sunk, they were quite pressured

As a swarm of merman type chaos being and hydra chaos being attacks the commanders ship a person drop off on the plane and hacks the frontline of its enemy as if it's paper

"Didn't you guys know that Duranbal can slice anything as if paper unless you guys are special you can't defend my attacks" taunted Roland as he stances himself and charged the swarm

After a few minutes of fighting Roland mostly cleared the deck off monsters leaving only the corpses

Seeing this the crew cheered for a strong reinforcement arrived

When Roland looked around the water suddenly rises and multiple crustaceans attacked him

"Don't get cocky!" He said

With a tight grip he slashed the group by Mana wave which immediately decapitated the crustaceans

As he did this a tentacle suddenly pulled him below the water which shocked the various crew that saw this

When Roland got submerged he saw a bigger swarm down below and when he estimated its number it counted over a thousand merman type chaos beings not only that there are also hydras, sirens, and anacondas among them

"Shit!" He thought to himself

[Sub-Headquarters]

Seeing kanzaki's group Oliver became hype again and a new found strength entered his body

"If only he could use that transformation then we could win" he thought

But when he observed his companions he noticed that the people he brought are different and Ryuuji, Jinwoo, and the other gang was not there with him

Seeing this he begun to think of bad premonition

[Inside of Grandora City]

As kanzaki hacks down the chaos being one by one they begun to say out they're concerns

"How come hes so strong even though he's a newbie?"

The more the group watched the scene outside the more they became amazed as Kanzaki little by little killing the swarm

Right now Kanzaki was covered I blood all over his body but not his blood but blood of his enemy

"Haaaaahhhh!!!" He shouted to raise his morale as swarm of endless wave attacked him

While when Alice saw this she begun to imagine
