Chapter 56: [Spirit's Trial]

[Hawaii, Ryuuji's Consciousness]

With a snap of ifrit's finger the whole burning sea of flames suddenly vanished into nothing as the scenery changes into pure darkness

"Wawawa... . . What the? How did... . . "

"Shut up!!!" Growled Ifrit

"....."

After a while Ifrit observed Ryuuji for quite a while before saying anything next

"Your here... . . And the only reason that your hear is either because your dead or it's that time of the year" pondered Ifrit

At that Ryuuji answered

"I'm here to master the technique manifestation... . . And in order to tap that, I was told that I would have to face you"

"Me? manifestation? Kid do you even know just how great power manifestation means? Doing that is like giving me a leeway to control you body the way I like, you trust so much on people kid" reacted Ifrit

"I know! But your wrong, I'm not that trusting to just anyone, and I'm pretty sure that you'll keep me safe" replied Ryuuji

Hearing that Ifrit raises an eyebrow as he asked

"Oh yeah? How come?"

"Firstly you solely depend on me to survive in a battle and to make sure that your well maintained" smirked Ryuuji

At that Ifrit couldn't help but twitch his lips as he heard this simple act of provocation

"Is that a challenge? It's like your telling me that I can't live without having you clean me and always make sure I won't break" said Ifrit

"Yeah that's right! That's how I'm referring to" shrugged Ryuuji

With that Ifrit takes in a huge breath as he leaned back and changed the whole scenery by just one tap of his foot

This time the vicinity is inside a spacious white room which is wide enough for someone to fight

Soon after two Ifrit swords appeared from the ground as it slowly levels to ifrit's shoulder area and almost overtook Ryuuji's height, after that he pulled one of the sword and threw them straight to Ryuuji

Luckily Ryuuji caught it with a firm grip as he asked

"Does this mean that this is the trial? Defeat you?" Asked Ryuuji

"Not quite but yes this is the trial, since your determined anyway so why shouldn't I take you serious as it is?"

"....."

"Doing a manifestation means you'll wield half of my power along the battle, but by doing so consumes a lot of stamina inside your body, the only duration it has is that how many stamina you have" explained Ifrit

"My trial is simple... . . I want you to battle against for an hour straight, but the Temperature will always go up a notch every five minutes of the battle, if you can withstand not being knock out then you pass, but if got knocked out then you'll have to restart from the very beginning... . . Do you understand?"

As Ryuuji heard that he somehow felt like the whole trial thingy was so easy as he listens, but nevertheless he won't underestimate his opponent's anymore

So with a slight nod Ryuuji raises his huge sword horizontally as he focused on him

Seeing this Ifrit couldn't helped but chuckle as he snaps his finger causing the temperature to rise to a heat level of a simple hot concentrated summer heat

Still accustomed to this Ryuuji took a huge stride forward as he arrived before Ifrit himself and finally taking the initiative to engage in the battle

As Ryuuji attacked him, Ifrit moved to side dodging his attack by a few Inch while also raising his sword in a backhand position to block another curve attack from him

As two sword collides a loud clang resounded out of the room as two pair of eyes stared out against each other

Stepping firmly against the ground and holding his sword with two of his hand, Ryuuji gave a full huge side swing with all he got towards Ifrit

"Oryaaaa!!!!!"

As two swords once again clashed Ryuuji pulled all of his strength from this attack as he used the recoil from it's impact to shoot Ifrit on his tracks

Unfortunately that recoil backfired as he was instead was sent flying by the shockwaves

"What the?!?!"

"Huh? Don't treat me as if I have the same strength as you mortals, I'm a freaking fire demon so you should expect that my stats are way above average"

Hearing that Ryuuji arch up into a smile as he replied

"As expected from you... . . Alright! now I'm even more motivated"

Stopping from his tracks by a few mile, he once again pushed off the ground as he madly dash forward and rained down attacks towards Ifrit like a rain

But Ifrit's own strength shouldn't be triffled with as it actually blocks all of the incoming attacks from all angles

Taking this into note, Ryuuji came in this time with a plan in mind as he used this initial attack to sneak inside his defenses and bring down havoc

As he did that, Ifrit however quickly grabbed his hand before flinging him away while sending a huge flame slash towards him

Seeing this Ryuuji adruptly activated his eyes as he destroyed the flames, but nonetheless Ifrit somehow also used his initial attack to sneak in Ryuuji's defenses before blasting him away with a huge swing from the sword

"Guh!"

As a huge cut appear across his chest, Ryuuji pulled his sword in while combining this type of attack with his eye of destruction

With a loud blast not only did he made the ground beneath Ifrit's feet exploded, completely destroying his foothold he somehow also was able to use this to send Ifrit flying away

"Kneel!!!"

As Ryuuji said that the Gravity around Ifrit suddenly became heavy as the ground cracked by the sudden shift of gravity around the area

Afterwards by applying his destruction eyes power towards his sword, he was able to make one huge swing destroy the whole landscape infront of him like it was nothing, turning it into a complete desolate wasteland

From this attack Ifrit was suddenly caught off guard as he got blasted away by a huge attack considerable to be powerful enough to destroy a village

As he crashed unto the wall of the huge white room, the impact however wasn't disappointing at all as it actually made his body bury itself unto the wall almost sticking him like a nail

"Not bad" he praised

During this time five minutes came in and the temperature Inside the room suddenly rises as it entered scorching heat of the dessert level

This time however Ryuuji started sweating a lot as he felt like the oxygen was suddenly hard to take in as the temperature rises

He still couldn't believe that only five minutes have passed as he saw Ifrit pulls his body off the wall and took a walk towards him

As he gasp for breath he suddenly lost sight of Ifrit the moment he blinked, thus making him to actually didn't notice that the latter was already above as it finishes him off with a huge fatal attack to his back

Just outside in the real world, Greg however took the opportunity to watch over Ryuuji as he took on the trial of his Weapon's spirit

In actuality he just used this as a reason to avoid having responsibility to do some work elsewhere, this in turn made him have a lot of free time to laze around as he focused on his phone and started playing a game

At this time when the night suddenly came, Ryuuji suddenly woke up from his consciousness as he actually failed at his first try of the trial

Somehow he could feel the sweat all over his body as he breathes roughly

"Looks like your having a rough time"

As Greg said this, Ryuuji instantly snorted and ignored him as he focused once more to initiate another trial but this time he'll try a different approach

Seeing this Greg couldn't help but exclaimed

"Looks like we've got a long night ahead"
