Chapter 65: [Hunt II]

After landing, back in Beijing, both Greg and Ryuuji were now being escorted by the Chaos breakers in China towards the designated spot

The reason for it's tough security, was that the enemy has been harsher or rather Chaos Beings in China are tougher and way more active than any other places

Due to that reasoning no one would even dare to give chase to criminal who uses this environment to successfully create escape route unknown from the enemy

With that such place would be a perfect hiding place of the person codenamed Undead

Upon arrival Greg was immediately surrounded by people who either admired him by a lot or people who felt the urgence to discuss the topic on the way

Due to some witnesses, the authority somehow was able to make a counter measure in case this happened

After further preparations, they finally headed out with the search group the very next day as they started to hunt down the codename Undead lab

"Greg I don't feel good about this at all" complained Greg as he slowly talked with Ryuuji

"Oh! Neither do I... . . But in the end we have to do this" pointed out Ryuuji

"You've got a point"

After they arrived at the tilted body of the building, both Greg and Ryuuji stood up and talked about things

"I feel something strange, I don't know what it is, but I feel like it was at the tip of my tongue... . . It's like I know what to say yet I can't say it" stated Greg as he looked at the tilted building

"Oh what you know! There must be a reason why your feeling that way... . . Maybe intuition?" Replied Ryuuji

"Most likely by stress" said Greg

"Stress? You? Hah! Well that's funny" stated Ryuuji

"I don't know... . . But please stop with that teasing, it's kind of annoying" said Greg

"Whatever you say"

With that they both proceeded together with the group as they observed and familiaring the way they came

After that they passed through a lake, town, subdivision, and even a stadium

With that Ryuuji begun to examine all of his surrounding

As he examined it, he notices that such places would be a perfect place for an ambush and yet he couldn't feel anything at all from his radius search of 50km

"Anything?" Unexpectedly Greg came over after he successfully ended they talk to one of the user who seemed fanatic of Greg

The reason for his popularity was because Greg was well know by the old and surviving chaos breaker, as he was the one person who was close to the head General

Due to that he was eventually called out as he revealed to him that somehow he gained popularity or rather hot well known as the guy closest to the top

"Nothing yet... . . But I do agree on your earlier remark" said Ryuuji

Hearing that even Greg started to look around

"I knew it... . . Something was really fishy about those over fanatic guys back there" said Greg

"Huh? No that's normal, I'm talking about this" said Ryuuji

"This?"

"The operation was being done beautifully silent, no such living species that are alive can be found by my own radius" complained Ryuuji

"Silent?... . . Now that is troubling... . . That should be impossible, no matter who you are or where you are, There should be atleast a chaos being nearby or on hiding" said Greg

"Well the enemy is experienced after all" said Ryuuji

"I don't know about that" said Greg

After that Greg once again flop through his documents as he reviewed the information about the child

"Just imagine, having a power that can control life and death, it's quite scary isn't it?" Asked Greg

"Well it's not exaggerated to say that yeah! It is indeed scary power, but to be held.upon by the child, now that's surprising" said Ryuuji

At that they begun to walk off as they discussed things along the way

Soon after they've searched for about 2 hours already, they all planned to head back at the base camp before setting out after a 1 hour break

Unfortunately as the other Chinese user's listened to the command and returned back, Ryuuji instead forced his way of thought by staying on the place

"Are you crazy?"

"Maybe! But I got a theory"

"Oh!?!? Let me hear it" said Greg who seemed to have grown accustomed to his reasoning

Just like that Ryuuji started his explanation

"Also I would like for you to follow those Chinese students back, if my intuition is correct, then such chaos being which me all alone would be a perfect bait"

"Bait!"

"If we compare the behavior of the chaos being to animals who lived in the wild, then we can safely say that such act like hiding your presence, and other stuff was especially like a wild animal" said Ryuuji

"If that's the case then the reason why they didn't showed up earlier... . . "

But before Greg could ever finish what he was about to say, Ryuuji instead interjected in

"Instinct, or natural instincts of the wild" said Ryuuji

Hearing his theory or idea, Greg himself has a tough sketch on what he's trying to do, with that he just gave him his consent about the matter as he left together with the other Chinese user

This was in order for Ryuuji to conduct his experiment on purpose

As he left, Ryuuji on the other hand was left all alone in the middle of the stadium with a lot of space and a lot of time to think about how to handle the situation when the person named undead showed up

In turn to make them able to atleast take notice of his presence, Ryuuji immediately used a certain level of Mana to further attract the chaos beings attention

But after a minute or two, there didn't seem anything new about it

So in order to relieve his boredom, he opened up the file that Greg have given to him earlier and read through it

"The power to control the life and death power... . . This... . . I don't even know how to respond since the user of such power is a child, and a powerful one at that" he thought to himself

"But if this child manage to learn somehow, then I can safely say that if that ever happened then the balance of both sides will tilt leading to the destruction of the another faction" he added

After that he started to look into the distance as he started to once again spread out his search radius if ever his contact usage of Mana would atleast attract a monster

Caus if not then there is only one explanation, and that is the undead might have finished every chaps being off in this sector to turn it into his own puppet

But after that just like he feared or expected, there were no such response which proved that the undead must have successfully eliminated the target monsters thus turning them into his puppet

"So that's how it is, then perhaps it is as expected"

Bit just before he leaves the site, his watch radius suddenly picked up something as he felt a chaos being fastly approaching his way to him

Without further notice a giant chaos beast worm wriggled its way out of the building and plunged towards him

Seeing this Ryuuji immediately jumped off to the side as he activated his eye and made the whole section where he jumped off to explode

"Destroy!"

Followed that when he landed he felt another wave of attack as if coordinated by someone coming from beneath him

Realizing such fact, Ryuuji himself couldn't help but give off a wry smile

"I knew it! This guy's... . . Looks like he's near"
