Chapter 66: [Hunt III]

Putting more strength on another jump, Ryuuji immediately shot off from the ground just at the exact time a huge centipede came out from beneath it

Following that another 2 to 3 more centipede like chaos beast came out from either sides of the destroyed building beside him

Raising his sword, Ryuuji gather the flames on his sword Ifrit by using the Mana around the air

Swinging horizontally he manage to drew up an arc with enough force to push back two centipedes like Chaos beast that went on fill dive on him

As the other one got through he quickly held the sword in the same alignment as his sight and pointed it towards the middle point of the centipede like Chaos beast forehead

Upon impact Ryuuji felt like as if he got hit by a kiloton heavy weight compounded train, as he held his breath in pain and pushed his sword deeper through the exoskeleton of the centipede like Chaos Beast

Activating his eyes that turned red he immediately made it unable to retaliate once more

"Crumble!!!"

Starting from it's injury the body of the centipede like Chaos Beast begun bloating up and being deformed as it suddenly exploded to tiny pieces, as Ryuuji crash down the ground

When he was still lying down, he could see atleast three more centipede like chaos beast that was still well functioning even though it got crashed against the buildings

"Fall!!!"

With one command the baseline or supporting beams of those particular building crumbled to pieces as it some kind of invisible force was at play

With that four buildings that were enclosing the surroundings of those centipede like Chaos Beast, suddenly fell simultaneously as the came crashing down on them with it's whole weight

In fact such an event didn't come unnoticed as the nearby Chaos user's suddenly felt the air of battle coming from afar

After feeling up that instense shockwaves from the battle, about 2 to 5 five squads of Users came running towards the scene of the event

As they were planning to see through the destruction that were happening from afar, Ryuuji however was being occupied as the centipede like Chaos Beast suddenly came out from the crumbled building and started attacking him in a frenzied manner

With it's pincers widening up, the centipede like Chaos Beast chomped down at Ryuuji with it's full might, however the latter himself immediately jumped off the structure behind him and came to pass through above the creatures head

Taking ahold of the edge of its skeletal frame, Ryuuji immediately inserted Ifrit in between the spaces of its exoskeleton to started attacking it internally

"Hell flame!!!"

With repeated assault internally, a burnt crisp of an insect suddenly swift through the air as the Chaos Beast fell and died from being charred on the inside after some obvious struggle

Not wasting another time Ryuuji quickly pulled out Ifrit from the corpses and came slashing in behind him creating a huge flame arc that headed straight towards the two remaining centipede like Chaos Beast with a degree reaching about 70°

With this intense heat came slashing in, the very first centipede that came in contact with it was easily fit in half like a melted butter, while the other one quickly dove underneath the surface to save itself from the attack with the cost of having its tail cut off

Paying attention to his surroundings Ryuuji came searching through left and right as he tries to feel every section and corner that was possible for the Chaos Beast to take advantage of making an unnecessary ambush

He was so concentrated that his eye movements seemed a bit at a fast reaction phase as he clearly observe his surroundings without wasting a second long on every look of his surroundings

After moving his gaze around he suddenly felt a tremor coming from beneath him as cracks started to form beneath him

Expecting the attack to come under him, he immediately held Ifrit in a vertical alignment to the ground as he instantly stabbed the ground and bursted out flames causing a huge explosion from beneath

But as he did that the head of the centipede like Chaos Beast showed up a little bit farther from Ryuuji and came chomping down on it target

Apparently the centipede like Chaos Beast fully knows that it's opponent was putting all of it concentration of finding at least a slight fault on its Movements, so using the high intuition of its opponent to its advantage it made a certain tremor beneath it to cause a fake pinpoint to force it's enemy to make a move

When it fell into it's trap, the centipede like Chaos Beast quickly showed up itself with perfect timing and no delay, unfortunately it's opponent was Ryuuji a person who have encountered much ferocious enemy than a simply centipede

Using it's inhumane reaction time, Ryuuji forcefully pulled back Ifrit from the ground as he used his eyes again to concentrate his gaze at the remaining enemy

"Fall!!!"

As if the whole gravity went against it the centipede eventually fall to the ground with a gravity that wasn't a joke

Being retrained to its fullest the Chaos beast didn't even have a chance to struggle as Ryuuji quickly finished it off by inserting the burning sword in between the centipedes eyes, completely killing it off

After finishing the last Chaos Beast, Ryuuji slowly backed off as he let out some steam that was accumulating on his body that was being gathered cause of it's high speed mobility and precise movements

He managed to acquire such inhumane speed due to training with Greg back in Hawaii by having the latter take full use of it's surrounding to its advantage

Some time later the squad's that came in from China together with Greg it's investigator, finally arrived at the scene of Ryuuji sitting up from a risen boulder not far from the corpses of different Chaos Beast

"You guys... What took you so long?"

About a few miles from the current location on which Ryuuji and the other users were at, a certain abandoned concaved lab was at some point in an operational active condition as Argie the a.k.a undead User was currently preoccupied on its work of creating it own chimera quite different from the Chaos Chimera

Using the main body from the chimera that assaulted Grandeia city, he managed to atleast gain an additional function that puts it's users in quite troublesome situation before

Plus using the other chimera body parts he was repeatedly conducting various trial and error to atleast gouge its own capabilities

Even though he made such body, it's performance would still be innaccurate compared to a living chimera, but that kind of problem would be solved by a certain child that he stole away from California

With Claire's ability she can give life to the experimented corpse of the chimera using her ability to toy around the boundery of the living and the dead

With her ability that was so much out of this realm,it can be expected that she will get much attention later on the society of ever her powers were mass announced or known

Since he didn't know whether he could trust the reapers nor defeat the users of the organization, he was in turn locked in between two potential threat

So if such a situation was disadvantageous for him, instead of waiting for him to get done in, he would prefer if he could atleast fight back until his dying breath

With few last words that's reverbrated through the air, he muttered this words as if he was fully determined to put up a last struggle if situation arises

"I'm not going down that easily!"
