Chapter 83: [Philippines]

[Philippines]

~Few days ago~

After driving about non-stop, Argie finally made it to the shore of the Philippines and have slowly snuck in through the shores manila bay

After arriving at the side of the shore he immediately touched down foot first before calling out to Claire who was soundly asleep inside the boat

Later on Argie then woke up Claire in the middle of the night as he then disembarked at the shoreline

After few considerations he then decided to get out of this place and enter the barren land upfront

Climbing out of the shore through the wall on the side, Argie then was able to get out of the situation in time and stall for a few more days

In fact the only property that Argie have is his results in research about Claire's ability to control life and death, which is unprecedented at all

Later on finding a spot he then took Clair with him and settled her at the side as he suddenly leaned on a rock to rest

"Well I'm tired... How about you? Are you tired?" Asks Argie

"Nope! I'm not..." Answered Claire

"Oh really? Well it doesn't matter anyway, by now those guys that were chasing me, must have been met with a terrible fate" muttered Argie

On this behalf Claire kept silent as she avoided to talk about that incident before she asked

"Why did you want to trick them?"

"?!?!"

"Ryuuji was reliable and good, he's not an enemy so why did you trick him?" Asked Claire

Hearing that Argie them shook his head as he said

"Claire! Your too young, he's not good at all, didn't you know that he was just tricking you?"

"Tricking me?"

"Yes tricking you, in fact you power is like an anomaly, and based on what I know, a person who is an anomaly must be kept safe like a pet, and did you know pet aren't free at  all?"

"Free"

"Free is essential, no matter what you call yourself, if your being restrained in a facility, that is already called as a cage and you are the previous pet"

After that he placed his hand on Claire's shoulder as he looked about as gently as possible

"Do you want to get caught again?" He asked

"Caught? But if I get caught then I wouldn't be here right now" said Claire

"Your right! So what do you say?"

"I... I want to be free"

Hearing that Argie then gave a hearty laugh as he said

"Well said! Well said! I'll make you a free person, after I'm done with studying you"

At that Claire then nodded as she saw Argie taking out a local map and started gathering his thought on where to go

"Looks like the place that we have arrived yet is called manila bay... If that is the case, this place in mainly for attraction back in the days... Such a waste for having this place as abandoned"

"Attraction?" Asked Claire

"Yes attraction a place where people gather and enjoy themselves" explained Argie

"I see..."

After looking over at the map for a while, Argie then stood up as he said

"Alright we need to move on and check some equipments in malls to use, maybe at least one or two stuff inside of it might be useful to us, right?"

"Yes!"

With that Argie then left ahead together with Argie and into the land of the Philippines

~Present~

Soon after an aircraft entered the Philippines airspace, as the leaders of the current  Philippine branch of the organization went down and greeted their arrival to show hospitality

Of course after embarking Greg took care of all the formalities as he left Ryuuji, Kanzaki, Jinwoo, Alice, Isabelle, Ai, and Jessica to their own devices

They may look like a normal group of young people who disembarked on the plane as they stayed quiet, but in actuality they were inside a heavy discussion with Sanaguchi and Oliver back in Grandora City

After all ever since they left, Kanzaki and the crew somehow ended up in one place after another, which really added to the stress

At this moment Oliver was discussing something about to them

(We can't be careless this time, plus we don't know how the Philippines will treat you in that place, so I suggest for you to house yourself in their base while I'll send someone after you towards there to guide you round)

After hearing that Sanaguchi then entered as he said

(Exactly that's why we will have both Mark and Richard assist you on that mission, do you understand?)

"Mostly" muttered Ryuuji

(Great! That way you won't have a problem in the places over there)

After talking for a bout a few more minutes the call then finally concluded as Ryuuji and the rest breath out in relief

"Well this is something else, we feel like we're traveling around the world by free but working at the same time"

After Kanzaki said that, the others however quickly replied

"Welcome to our world!"

After that Greg managed to asked for a lodging inside the branch base in the organization

Hearing that the head Chief of the organization in the Philippines finally agreed as he contacted a few numbers on his phone before talking for awhile

Not a moments later he then finally arranged a space for them

Seeing that Greg then gave a big smile before thanking them and turning to Ryuuji and the rest

"Well the lodgings are all answered, so what do you say? Can you say I did a great job?" Asked Greg

"You did Great!" Said Ryuuji with a blank face

Seeing that kind of bland reaction he then rubbed Ryuuji's head as he said

"Well anyways this is troublesome, I hope everything ends here or else this will be dragged on even more than we can imagine"

With that a few moments later black SUV cars then arrived as they became a transport for the group

Without any hesitation at all the head Chief showed his competence to this visitors since the head General himself gave them orders to longer around the Philippines to track an escapee

With that in mind the Philippines branch head Chief felt relief as he will be able to impose as a dependable person to this group of people
